Stunning binding in bevelled maroon/terracotta cloth covers with elaborate gilt decoration to spines and fronts, blind embossed on rear sides. All page edges gilt. Pale yellow endpapers. In very good conditions. Some minor rubbing to edges, corners and ends of spines. Volume 7 lower front cover corner has small remains of removed label. Endpapers clean, no penned inscriptions. Colour plates all present and clean and bright. Some foxing to tissue guards, some spots to pages. Else inside pages and plates all clean and tight throughout. 7 volumes. Illustrated with 240 colour chromolithographic plates with tissue guards, and colour vignettes to main title pages. 135 pages of facsimile autographs in vol.7. Collection of beautiful colour plates depicting Country Houses of great Britain and Ireland. The contents list gives the name of the House and of the incumbent.
