In late 2021, Airain created a re-issue of the Type 20, and is as faithful as most modern re-issues get. So if classic pilots chronographs are your thing, this is definitely worth a look. The steel case measures in at 39.5mm, with a 47mm lug to lug and a thickness of 14.5mm without the Nato strap, and features pump pushers and an oversized crown. Within this case lies a matte deep green dial with large lumed ecru markers, matching hands, and a white minute track echoed by the white tracks and hands of the sub-dials. It's highly legible, and very well executed. Surrounding it all is a bi-directional 12 hour bezel, with a double-domed sapphire crystal. Powering it is a manual wound column-wheel chronograph with flyback function and a 63 hour power reserve, known as the AM2. This particular piece was first sold in September 2022 and presents in TZ 'Good' condition. The case generally only shows very minor hairlines, though there is a very small pin dent on the top of the upper right lug which is the reason for the 'Good' rather than 'Near Mint' grading.
