Description: Up for sale is a copy of an album of sheet music - ZUR JOHANNISNACHT (MIDSUMMER EVE) - Edvard Grieg Op. 60. Edvard Hagerup Grieg (15 June 1843 – 4 September 1907) was a Norwegian composer and pianist. He is widely considered one of the leading Romantic era composers, and his music is part of the standard classical repertoire worldwide. His use and development of Norwegian folk music in his own compositions brought the music of Norway to international consciousness, as well as helping to develop a national identity, much as Jean Sibelius and Bedrich Smetana did in Finland and Bohemia, respectively. The album includes 48 parts: 1 - Orchestra = Score8 - I. Violin7 - II Violin5 - Viola5 - Violoncello4 - Contrabrass1 - Harp2 - Flute2 - Clarinette2 - Bassoon4 - Horn2 - Trumpet1 = Tympani1 = Glockenspiel1 = Tamburine1 - Triangl Each of the 48 parts are bound in a different booklet. Each booklet is approximately 10 1/2" x 14 1/2". The covers of the booklets have wear - browning, creases, chips and stains. The edges are very delicate and chip easily when handled. Internally, the sheet music has some wear and age related browning. Everything is stamped in ink "PROPERTY OF ROSAMOND YOUNG". Other stamps and musical notes and writing can be found on some of the music sheets, as well. All of the booklets are together in a legal sized cardboard binding (not attached). Other dings here and there. Please email with questions and see my store for other great items. R-Box 128
