This legendary product was first produced in 1905 when Gennaro Fabbri bought a store in proximity of black cherry orchard. One day his wife Rachele picked up cherries and slowly cooked them in copper pot. In result she transformed cherries into wonderfully delicious treat known now as Amerena Fabbri. Gennaro bought a beautiful ceramic jar from the artist Riccardo Gatti. This unmistakable Blue Onion pattern pot became a symbol of Amarena. Jar on this auction is made of Opaline Glass and has metal lid. The pattern is printed on the film wrapped around glass. Jar measures about 4” in its widest diameter and stands 6 ¼” tall.
