Leather spines and corners. Glossy marbled end sheets front and back. Marbled page edges all 3 sides. The most fabulous feature of this set are the wonderful illustrations. Many in color. Plenty of nice quality black and white photography. Beautiful plates of birds, mammals, plants, maps, portraits of notable people, buildings & architecture, human biology, nature, scientific subjects, many historical subjects and more. Either this set could be kept as is - or could possibly be harvested for all of the wonderful plates/illustrations. That is up to the buyer. The covers on these volumes have a fair amount of wear and tear. The interior pages are very good. No interior markings, staining or soiling. No torn or bent pages. No library markings.
