Description: INTRO: Up for your consideration is this VINTAGE BUILT MODEL KIT. It is being listed "AS IS" for parts or restoration. The first photo shows all that is included in this listing. Other photos show close-up and different angle shots.CONDITION: This is an original vintage issue annual model kit. The car has dated plates and a screw chassis. The car has some loose pieces. The firewall is loose in the motor compartment. The convertible boot needs reglued. One of the rear chassis screws is stripped out so the screw will not stay tight. The post may be broken. The passenger side WING POST is BROKEN out and MISSING. I noticed that the bottom of the interior tub i8s covered in MASKING TAPE (Will explain below in the "PLEASE READ" section). The paint was done very nice back in the day. The kit was adult built very clean with no glue marks. The kit is now dusty from storage and needs a good cleaning. PLEASE READ!!! I purchased this model kit in a massive collection a few months ago. This kit, out of the other 100 had a bit of a mystery to it. If you shake the car, you can hear parts rattling around. I could not find where the rattle was coming from, so I took the chassis off the body and noticed a note wedged in behind the rear screw posts. Apon reading it I found that the original builder in the 1960's had written a note to the future owner. He had hidden spare parts in the model. I'm assuming under the masking take on the interior. I did not try to remove the tape but did find a set of unused clear head light lenses attached to the surface. I will include those in a bag with this kit. The other parts are still hidden. The tape is old and brittle. It has notes written on it saying his name and a car club he belonged to. The note wants the new owner to contact him. He left a phone number and name. I think they wanted to see where the car ended up after these past 62 years. Who knows if the original owner is still alive or can be contacted by the phone or address, he left. It's pretty cool. Kind of like a scavenger hunt. Might be kind of cool to get ahold of the guy and see if he remembers stashing the note and parts. Anyway, following this info on the note will be up to the new owner.
