Description: Anne Goujaud was born in 1954. She lives and works in the Paris region. A graduate of fine arts from Reims, she has devoted herself to engraving and painting for over thirty years. To create her monotypes, the artist uses very fine Japanese paper, which she inks for each color. These papers are then torn, assembled, and then put under press by the artist. Engraved patterns sometimes mingle with her colorful compositions. Her works juxtapose patterns and shapes, creating lively and delicate frames and assemblages. Each piece only exists in one copy. These two works are in good condition and already framed. One frame has a bit of a scratch, and the other has a light glass imperfection to the front of the pane. The artwork itself has been adhered to foam poster board using some form of tape, most likely when the item was purchased over 20 years ago. One is a Monotype, which is basically a painting on a metal plate and then transferred onto paper using a press. The other is alimited edition lithograph, I believe. The artist is alive and well in the Paris region, and her artworks are held in numerous galleries around the world. Please contact me for more photos or if you have any questions.
