Antiq c1903 Velvet German Catholic Prayer Book MOP & Enamel, 4 Lace Holy Cards +

Description: You will be receiving a rare find including the following: 1. A beautiful Antique Catholic German Prayer Book dated 1901 with velvet burgundy colored cover decorated with mother-of-pearl and enamel florets. Note: It will be placed inside the original Box as found when shipped to buyer.) 2. Four (4) Antique exquisite paper lace holy cards with embossed design including the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Mary, the Immaculate Virgin Mary crushing the serpent, and a First Holy Communion Card, all found inside the Prayer Book. (Note: They will all be placed back inside the prayer book where originally found when shipped to buyer. ) 3. A dried rose petal, found inside the Prayer Book. (Note: It will be placed between pages 478-479 where originally found, where shipped to buyer. ) 4. A Western Union Telegram dated October 18, 1913 from Papa in Chicago to the recipient in Los Angeles, California. (Note: It will be placed behind the Prayer Book where found originally found, when shipped to buyer. ) 5. Plus the original box it came in. (As is condition - see photos) The Prayer Book measures approximately 4” x 5 1/2”. The smallest holy card (the First Holy Communion Remembrance card) measures approx 3 1/4” x 2”. The other 3 cards each measure approximately 3” x 4 1/2”. The intricate design and details of the German Prayer Book and the Holy Cards make them a wonderful addition to any collection. It is a testament to the artistry and devotion that went into creating these beautiful cards, and a reminder of the important role that faith has played in the lives of so many. Condition: preowned and antique and overall in very nice condition given its age and delicacy. Note in some areas of the Holy Cards the lace paper is torn (see photos). And some pages of Prayer book some staining (see photos). Nevertheless, given its age and delicate nature they are in remarkable condition due in part to its safe storage.
