Description: Antique 1875 19th Century salt glazed stoneware & silver drinking tumblers. - Two salt glazed stoneware mugs in classic brown tones with applied figures and sterling silver rims. - Figures include drinking men, a character known as Toby Filpot drinking bear, a cottage windmill, old tree, flowers and leaves. - Silver metal rims stamped on side with British hallmarks indicating the silver was made by Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton in Birmingham, England in 1875. - There is no maker's mark for the stoneware, however they are in the style of pieces of Doulton Lambeth who did not always stamp pieces - Excellent overall condition. There are a few small imperfections typical for pieces of this age. There is some separation between a relief and the cup, with slight chipping on edge.
