Description: Antique 1886/1887 Queen Victoria Jubilee Sterling Silver Pin Enamel Sydenham. This is a rare photo pin made in 1886 to celebrate the upcoming (in 1887) jubilee of Queen Victoria. It has the House of Windsor Coat of Arms in enamel on the front. It has the four icons of the countries that make up the United Kingdom (Leek, Clover, Thistle, and Rose; Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England respectively). It is marked by Sydenham Brothers (S Bros) although it isn’t the cleanest strike. The hallmarks indicate it was assayed in 1886 in Birmingham. This is a wonderful antique piece for any Anglophile.
