This is the real deal, full of biographical and people-focused historical information from Central Arkansas of the late 1800s, with a number of engraved portraits. It's a heavy book, about 6 pounds 10 ounces, and measures about 9" x 11" x 2 1/2" thick. It has 811 pages, hardcover, well-illustrated. Fair condition as shown. The cover has wear and tear, especially on the spine, but the gilt is still nice and gold. The binding is loose, but still attached. The pages are not brittle and I see no tears or folds or missing pages. Some of the the pages have written corrections or notes -- there is a handwritten note at the top of the title page that says "This book is full of mistakes." These books were handed around and well-used and loved, and this one is in better shape than most. An awesome addition to any library.
