Description: I have for sale an original Heinrich Thomann etching. Heinrich Thomann (1748-1794) Switzerland I couldn't find a signature anywhere, but when I took it out of the frame, you can see the title written in pencil at the center-bottom. Also, there is a seal stamp at the top-right corner, but they only got half the seal on the paper. The photos with the etching inside the frame, were done after I took it out, so this is the current state of the etching. There is, as expected, age toning to the paper, but overall it is in good condition. I have provided nearly (60) Photos below to give you a thorough view. This piece came from a quality estate sale, where there were over a dozen quality 18th and 19th century etching and watercolors, from well known artists. This piece comes from the A.D.B. Smead family of Carlisle, PA. They were a respected military officer family from the 1820's-1900. The etching comes in a nice 19th century wood and gilt frame. Size: 21 1/4" x 17 1/4" (Frame) 15" x 10 7/8" (Etching Between Matting) If you have any questions, and/or need more photos, please send me a message. Thank You
