Description: Automobile theme ephemera doesn't get much cuter than this! These authentic, turn-of-the-20th century cufflinks feature an art form that is no longer in use much today: reverse painting glass. Not only, were these hand-painted using a reverse painted glass technique, they were very well done! The detailing on them is incredible. I wasn't able to exactly identify the type of early car used in the illustration on these, but its a colorful one, featuring navy blue chassis, red seat back, crank shaft, windshield and front part, plus off white back wheels -strangely, one set of front wheels on just one side of one cufflink, features a black or navy blue front wheel. The base behind the cars is mother-of-pearl shell, I believe. The cufflinks have chainlink style attachment, and are marked 'Made in England' on the back of each. The overall condition is excellent to very good, as may be seen in the photographs. Measurements: - approximately 1 1/2 inch length including chain- 2.5 cm diameter of glass piece Feel free to contact me with any questions or inquiries! ♥,Miss Master *Proud member of the Vintage Fashion Guild*
