Description: Antique 1920s Maxfield Parrish "Daybreak" Hand Tinted Lithograph Print Original Frame Reinthal & Newman, The House of Art, New York Approximately 20" L x 12" H x .75" D Very sweet antique Maxfield Parrish "Daybreak" lithography print in its original 1920s frame, and with the original paper and tag on the back. There's a collection of ladies' signatures on the back, as well as a long note from the owner, to whom it was presented as a gift from the Rainbow Girls of Texas on March 20, 1928. The note explains she had been admiring this picture since she first saw it in Austin, Texas six years prior, in 1922. The only department store at that time would have been Scarbroughs at 5th & Congress, so I'm sure that's where she saw it. The frame has some condition issues, as it really shows its age and the life it's lived. It looks fabulous hanging on a wall as it is. It's been a little touched up some as you can see. Could be touched up or further restored, or enjoyed as is. Experienced international art shipper. Will be extremely well packed and insured. I've calculated US shipping using Pirate Ship rates. Requires an oversized box.
