Description: This is an original Godwin Stevenson etching dated 1927 and signed. It is marked 25/25. Do not know much about Godwin Stevenson but bought a few of his works while we lived in Philadelphia area. Note we bought these at two different places so he must have been popular in the Philadelphia area. From another etching by Stevenson I have it was either framed or bought at Newman gallery which is still in existence and has been since 1865. It’s an upscale gallery. It is in a new acid free mat. The mat is 10 inches by 8 inches and the actual picture measures 6 5/8 inches by 4 1/4 inches. No foxing in great shape. Just needs a frame. This was bought at a house sale in the Philadelphia area when my wife and I collected prints. We have been collecting for about 40 years thinking we would open an antique shop when we retired. Now that we are retired we are selling on eBay and slowly we are putting up 100’s of prints and drawings.
