Description: Antique 4-Point Star Quilt Hand Pieced Quilted Patchwork 75.5" x 69" Shabby Chic I haven't seen a 4-pointed star quilt styled quite like this, with rounded edges or Xs, whatever they are. This quilt is unsigned or dated, but my guess is that this was made in the 20s or 30s. I'm no expert on fabrics, but I don't think this is flour bag material, so I think the quilt was made before the mid-Depression when clothing material flour bags became widespread. One thing really interesting about this is that the quilt is much thinner but heavier than modern quilts. In fact, I compared it to a modern quilt of roughly the same size and this antique quilt weighs more than twice as much as the modern one. I think this would be best either to display on a rack or on furniture. Beautiful, well-made antique quilt but in rough condition. Some stains, but the worst part is that some of the four-pointed stars (or stylized Xs?) are worn through. Also, an area of the backing has places that have worn through. Please look carefully at the photos
