Description: Antique American Pewter Teapot, H. Homan, Cincinnati, OH, c. 1842 - 1854. This American pewter lidded teapot has a great pear shaped design with a flower finial. The teapot has a hinged lid and a shaped handle, with a pouring spout on the opposite side. There is a mark on the underside of the base that reads, "H. HOMAN - IX". This is the mark of Henry Homan who worked out of Cincinnati,OH from 1842 - 1854. This maker is identified in Jacobs, page 94, where a covered syrup pitcher booked for $35 back in 1957. Wonderful American Pewter teapot in very good condition offered with a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The teapot is 8 5/8" H. x 4 9/16" W. x 8 11/16" L. from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle.
