These collectible toys kept for children in the temples of India in the 1800s. Each one is solid cast metal, tending to the silver colored end of the bronze spectrum rather than brassy gold. It has a rich patina. They are roughly formed, rolling unevenly, but are nicely detailed, with heavy steel axles running through rings at the animals' feet, hammered on the ends to hold the wheels in place. It is in good condition, with appropriate signs due to the age. There is plenty of original surface variation, bumps and marks, and heavy texture.
