Description: Presented is an antique, late 18th or early 19th century serving spoon. This piece is Scandinavian (Norway) in origin and was made between 1780 and 1810. The spoon is most likely Danish or Norwegian. The front has an old, pin prick monogram of the initials HTS and BMT. We have been told that this spoon is for serving Rommegrot (ROMMEGRØT), a type of porridge, and would serve nicely for any dish such as stuffing, vegetables, etc. The back has some old maker's mark stamps. This piece is in excellent condition for its age. There is a slight dent to the bowl, but the engravings are crisp and there are no other flaws other than very minor surface wear. Length: 15 1/2 inches. Weight: 162 grams. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
