Description: Antique c1840 Lustre Victoria & Albert cup and saucer. This delicate pink lustre cup and saucer set is made of fine translucent china. The main decoration on the front of the cup and on the saucer has been extensively hand decorated and shows a named portrait of the young Queen Victoria sitting in a high back chair, attended by her Consort, Prince Albert. The back of the cup has an attractive parkland scene of Windsor Castle, their home at this time. Both pieces are decorated in pink lustre. The set has a deep bowl/saucer. The cup is approximately 2 1/4" - 60mm tall, the saucer/bowl is 6" - 150mm dia. Both pieces are in good condition with some natural wear to the gold. There is a small chip as well.
