Description: I LOVE this drape! This textile is French and dates c 1920s . It would have hung from a ciel de lit as a bedding curtain . The pattern is a wonderful, large scale scroll design, faded in redish pink tones!! It is GORGEOUS medium to heavy weight cotton. There are hooks at the top for hanging ~ this textile has wide unprinted selvage at the edges. I simply adore this textile, it would add so much charm to any vintage interior or would be lovely for upholstery etc ~ ( E198 ) MEASUREMENTS: 57.5 inches wide by 81 inches long ~ The top, where it is gathered measures 35.25 inches wide. CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with storage dust. It is beautifully and unevenly faded with time. There are some marks that Im certain wont wash. Ideal for any period interior.
