Antique Dutch Dogon Donut beads were traded into Mali with the Dogon people in the late 1700's and early 1800's so acquiring their nick name Dutch Dogon Donut beads sometimes they are also called Dutch Dogon ring beads both terms (ring & donut) are based on their shape and large perforations. This antique Dutch bead collection's largest bead measures 5.53mm long by 13.32mm wide. Great but rustic condition with surface wear and some small cracks. This is a highly desirable sought after antique bead set which would be perfect for jewelry making or adding to your African Trade bead collection.
