Description: An antique Ed Cumings fishing creel, with wood clasp and leather straps. All original. A "Standard Type" Ed Cumings of Flint, Michigan creel. Made with Michigan willow, this creel was made and sold by Cumings from the mid 1930s to the beginning of World War II. This was acquired from a collector of antique fishing items. Measures approximately 15 inches wide, 7 1/2 inches deep and 8 1/2 inches high.One of the original wicker hinges holding the lid on to the creel is missing and some fishing line has been used to replace the hinge. The buckle from the free hanging leather strap has broken off the leather strap as seen in the listing photos. The wood clasp opens and closes as designed. The wicker is in overall great shape with a few issues as seen in the listing photos.
