Description: This is a beautiful antique (I believe French porcelain) bird cage with a cute mostly yellow bird sitting happily on its swing. It measures 7" tall.This is really nice, I've enjoyed it a lot. Exterior color of cage (to me) is a varying Spring green and has golden paint as designs all over.I bought this about 25 years ago and it's been sitting on a shelf since then - just dusted off once in a while. I couldn't find any chips or flaws except:Has all windows, though one has a loose wire on one end. I thought about glueing it, but didn't want to take any chances that I'd do more damage. Also, on top of bird cage there is a very little crack in the metal round piece holding the ring from which it would hang. See last photo.Bird used to be glued onto his perch as evidence of old glue is clearly on wooden part that holds bird, but now it just sits carefully on it - again, didn't want to do any damage. I've loved this for a long time but am getting older and just know whoever cleans out the house when I'm eventually gone would not appreciate this like it deserves and probably toss it : (I think you'll be really happy if this cheery bird comes to live with you! Looks closely at all photos. I tried to photograph everywhere so you'd see what I see.Sorry, I do not take returns or issue refunds.
