Description: Gorgeous old needlepoint work of art. Originally this textile was made for a chair. It was removed at some time in the past and prepared for framing. It has a matte board with round cut out window, however this board does have some Toning and smudges but is great to have as a template if you want to replace when framing. Please study photos for condition and detailed measurements. Body of needlepoint is in very good condition for age. The wine colored background is slightly darker where it had been covered by the matte board. The edges have fraying. Someone has sewn along margin, I believe to stabilize edges. Tapestry is stapled to a matte board backing. The staples protrude out back of this but includes a cardstock backing (though that needs to be repasted against) to protect against the sharp points. Tapestry may have been lightly pasted down. This includes no outer frame and no glass. Default shipping is fedex ground.
