Description: White Reed Wicker & Wood American Mission Style Oval Top Console Desk TableThis is an early Heywood Wakefield Fibre Table (ca 1920's) piece, featured in the 1929 Heywood Wakefield Reed Fibre & Wood Furniture Catalog, piece # R 589 GS . A small remnant of the original paper label remains under top.Gorgeous, versatile and hard to find piece! This consists of a white, chippy painted wicker/reed base on narrow legs, in an oval shape with two side storage areas. The solid wood top is a warm, aged medium dark wood, a lovely contrast to the white base. This would be the star in any boho, farmhouse, or coastal room as an entry piece, floatable desk, or media stand. Finished on both sides.Approx. size is 54 l x 18.5 w x 30 tallStructurally sound, with normal "give" to the piece due to it's type of construction and age. As this is approximately 100 years old, there is some age wear: A couple of hard to find areas of broken wicker, mostly on trim, and at one foot base.
