Description: This is very likely to date from 1915 or older. I did find evidence of the hotels existence based on a luggage label that has been sold in the past, but I could find nothing else about the hotel. There are other hotels in Italy with variations on this name in various cities, but I believe this to be from Sicily. It's unique and perhaps one of a kind. Extremely substantial weighing in at over a pound. Holds just under 4 ounces, so just about demitasse size or could hold some espresso shots. There is some crazing on the underside of the saucer, as shown in a closeup photo. It's also marked, but the only words I can make out are Carrera and F.C.C.M.
