The pattern includes a crooked branch of a tree and a partial landscape with exotic flowers and leaves, This was first designed in 1801. The mark from J&G was first used in 1912. J&G Meakin were Eathenware [ironstone] manufacturers in Hanley, England. They began in 1859. This was 2 brothers, James and George. They realized the potentials of export market and George went to America to set up. Their main product was white granite. They were family owned for 100 years before being taken over by The Wedgewood group. There is some fading in parts. No chips, cracks or crazing. 5 1/4"
