Description: A spectacular pair of antique andirons, unlike any we've come across! Very heavy and quite large with unique two-piece brass duck head fronts that can be displayed in any position; facing right, left, straight ahead or any combination that suits your fireplace needs. The brass is in as-found condition and has not been polished; shows minimal spotting and has a nice, aged patina. The back bars are quality cast iron. They show signs of use but are in very good clean condition. Each measures 24" long to the tip of the beak, 11-1/2" tall, 8" wide and weighs a hefty 27 lbs.: each solid brass removable duck head weighs 10 lbs. alone!
