Description: Description- 10/21/21/10 book # 1592 Research finds that this could have been used as a sophisticated lighthouse illumination reflector, such as those designed by Robert Stevenson and installed at the Bell Rock Lighthouse in 1820’s. This glass Reflector is 14.5” across with center hole of 3” wide, and 4.2” tall /deep. The glass thickness is 5/16” ground edge, the outside is coated with Crinkle protecting coat. The mirror part has a few dark spots see pictures. This Reflector weighs approx. 5.25 lbs. A unique find and addition to a nautical décor or maritime museum. For the Artist, this may be one of those rare items you could incorporate into your work where reflection of light is desired.
