He published a range of educational books, one of the most popular being his 'Atlas of the Ancient World' first published in 1827 and reprinted in many editions. The maps were compiled and engraved by Sydney Hall (active 1818-60) one of the most accomplished engravers of the early nineteenth century. This map comes from the 1848 edition published by Longmans in London. Page size is 26.5cm by 21.5cmMap area is in good condition for age, engravings are clear. some stains and browning.
