I didn't polish this piece - I am not aware if the new owner prefer the polished look or some natural patina. 11" X 10 1/2" and 4" Tall (to the top of the handle) Sheffield - produced by Mappin & Webb in 1800s before 1897 (based on the stamp) Mappin & Webb received its first Royal Warrant as silversmiths to Queen Victoria in 1897 that will be added to their hallmark. They have continued to hold Royal Warrants as silversmiths to each of the five subsequent monarchs. Weight (unpacked) is around 1.5 Lbs.
