Antique Micro Beaded Persian Carpet Design w/ Gilded & Jeweled Frame Purse

Description: Here is an exquisite example of a micro beaded purse from the 1920s. Flat, rectangular micro beaded purse with rigid gilt metal hinged rim, decorated with repousse design, with embellished clasp and chain containing costume stones and enamel work. Body of purse appears to be woven with solid beading. Beads are tiny and make up a design inspired by a Persian rug, with a floral design at center with geometric patterns at sides, top and bottom, pattern the same on both sides of purse. Loops of stringed beads are intertwined and run all along the bottom as a fringe. Bead colors include blue, red, white, light green, dark green, rust, brown, purple, mauve and pink. The purse measures approximately 12 inches long (not including strap) or 23 inches long (with strap) and 8 inches wide. It weighs approximately 11.5 ounces. This item is antique and sold as is. The item may show wear, fading, stains, creases, original imperfections and/or other forms of damage. In particular, inside of purse has some staining to lining, and purse has some missing beads or holes the as shown in photos and labeled for “front” or “back”. Additionally, I suspect that there is a missing beaded link in the fridge, the location of which I have indicated in the photos. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description.
