Description: These beautiful handmade Thayer & McNeil of Boston designer shoes are said to have been originally worn in a 1918 wedding. The marriage was reported to be a long, happy and wealthy one, and the shoes were labeled “lucky”. Another generation of the family had them expertly reconditioned to wear in their wedding, and also referred to these shoes as “lucky”. Wouldn’t these be wonderful shoes for the ‘something old’ part of your wedding attire? They are in beautiful condition (please see photos for details) and they have a 2 1/2 inch heel. They seem to look yellow in some of the photos, but they are actually off white, eggshell or pearl color, and not yellow at all. Please let me know if you have any questions.
