Description: ***PLEASE READ ALL INFO BEFORE BIDDING!!!*** Listed as found! A remarkable, old textile with amazing colors and accents! The base silk color is a vibrant, yet warm orange that shimmers in the light! It's adorned with mirrorwork centered amongst colorful hand-embroidery and a black damask border with a leaf/fern pattern! This piece is truly unique! The border is of the Victorian era and the center silk appears to be more early 1900's to 20's. For its age....it looks to be in very good, durable, wearable (or usable) condition. There's a few tiny faint water-type spots/marks... I didn't see any true spots that stand out. There are also a few teeny holes. Nothing stands out but the uniqueness of this gorgeous piece!!! It seems the original use was a bridal shawl. It would also look lovely displayed as a throw or tapestry or whatever you choose! Please see all the photos. Some of the photos in this piece have reflections from the sun. The orange is the true color throughout without fade or bleed. It IS antique so always keep that in mind...there may be light shelf dust, a faint spot and a pinhole or two and a seam that may need to be reinforced. All antique/vintage items are sold AS IS.
