Description: Antique Oriental Earthenware Bottle Chinese Stoneware Vase Handmade Hand Painted Heavy Asian Pottery Container Japanese Home Decor A wonderful piece of hand made, and hand painted Oriental Earthenware history! The simplicity of seven simple colors creates a wistful garden scene, surrounded by soft bottleneck sloping and definitive edges - all show the artistic care and creativity taken in its design making this truly one-of-a-kind. This wonderful piece does show its age though - rough structuring, thick paint that is slightly chipped, crazing, manufacture flaws, a depressed base and elegant hand-written lettering. I did my best to get the age, area of manufacture and maker but was unable to identify the red under glaze markings on the bottom. The vase came from an Estate Auction in New Hampshire; the couple collected Antique Oriental Pottery. Most of their pieces dated from 1700's to mid / late 1800's. The vase measures approximately 10-1/4" tall, 3-3/4" across the base and about a 2-7/8" diameter at the mouth overall (a 2-1/4" neck opening) and has an inside depth of about 9-1/2" - the entire width is approximately 4-1/4". Please note that other than the referencing above, there are no cracks or repairs. The Vase will be packed for safe insured shipping weighs over 4 lbs. This lovely vase could quite possibly be well over 200 years old! This is a hidden Treasure waiting to be discovered.
