Description: This is an Antique REMARKS Hardcover Book by Bill Nye, 1891. Has over 150 Illustrations by J.H. Smith. Size is 6-1/2”x8-3/4”x1-7/8”, 504 pps. ©1891, by E.W. Nye. Publishers are Thompson & Thomas, Chicago. Condition: The inside pages are very brittle. They are beige with a little darkening around the edges. The binding is loose on the front & back covers and also on the top of the spine. There is a 2” and a 3/4” tear on both sides of the spine on the top of the book. Covers and spine have wear, aprticularly on the edges. The gold highlights on the front cover has worn off. There is faint pencil writing on the first blank page. The first four sheets have come loose from the binding. In fact, a lot of the pages have come loose from the binding. Pages 479/480 are missing and page 481 is missing a good portion of the corner.The inside front cover and the first blank page have dark spots from something being glued, with 2 decals of fruit (see photos).
