Description: Antique Saloon Mug Base Beer Glass / Mug from 1890-1900 No makers mark or other embossing. 4.75 inches tall and clear. Extremely thick glass and therefore heavy: 1 pound 8 ounces. Heavily recessed base as shown in the 2nd to last picture. This is actually a dug item and based on the context of other finds dates to around 1890-1900 although it could be a bit earlier going back into the 1880s. This glass / mug is actually in dug condition. It does not have any cracks, chips, or dings but does have some scuffs. The most prominent wear can be seen in the last picture. Because it is dug it is being sold for display purposes more than as an actual drinking mug although obviously it can be used for that purpose as well.
