Description: Darling antique German bisque head 15" character baby made by Schoenau & Hoffmeister, circa 1920. This baby has blue glass sleep eyes with feather stroke lashes and adorable chubby baby cheeks. I found no cracks or chips in the bisque head. The head is marked with "S (star with PB in it) H" on the back of the neck. The body is cloth with a (mute) crier box and the little hands are celluloid. The body shape and hands are very much like Bye-Lo Baby dolls of the same era. She is dressed in Victorian whites with a (newer) snap undershirt and vintage knit bonnet. The doll and clothing are clean. This baby is just precious and displays with a wonderful antique ambiance. She would make a unique addition to any doll collection. Thanks for looking.
