Description: A good boxwood and ebony English Staunton chess set with box and leather board circa 1900. The chess set complete (32), the pieces balanced by design, felted, hand carved knights. Chess pieces come with the original mahogany lift top storage box. King measures 3 inches high, one knight and rook from each side with makers red crown stamp. For age and use in very good condition, made by F. H. Ayres, London. Comes with a folding antique leather chess board, shows use, overall in good condition. 18x18 with 1.75 playing squares. Includes a vintage House Martin hardwood draughts set( checkers) 24 black and natural in original cardboard box. Also includes a working vintage Jerger Chess Champion Clock, made in Germany.
