Description: You are bidding on an exceptional and wonderful Victorian era Aesthetic Movement mechanical chatelaine pencil with applied figural lizard and frog! This is completely UNMARKED and UNTESTED as to its maker and metal content, however it is my personal belief that this is constructed of a low carat (8-10k) gold with sterling animals BUT I am not an EXPERT. It is heavy for its size. Again, I am NOT sure as to what it is made of. I am selling this on its own merits as a UNIQUE and very finely crafted antique writing instrument. Very good condition, with light cosmetic wear commensurate with age and use. Please see pictures and judge the condition for yourself.
