Also features two cut crystal transparent glass jars with lids. Pickle castors are glass jars fitted in an elaborately designed silver-plated frame and matching silver-plated lid. They were used to serve pickles, pickled vegetables and fruits, sugar cubes, and various other delicious delicacies. It was considered the height of elegant dining to have a pickle castor on the table.
