A FANTASTIC EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER WRIST WATCH!! CASE: This superb MOERIS military WW2 wristwatch has a beautiful stainless steel case. It is in beautiful condition for its age. The case has been lightly polished and only shows some very light marks. It is in excellent condition. I can see no noticeable dents or dings. The case back is engraved with the stamp A.T.P. (Army trade pattern) P6397 and has the British Military Broad arrow. The back of the case only has some nicks and light gnarling with normal age. It measures 3.4cms (34mm) in diameter excluding the crown and lugs. This case has the classic ATP Military look. DIAL: This is a lovely beautiful white FULLY SIGNED MOERIS dial which is typical of the period. It has black painted Arabic numerals which show a little wear in places. The lumed dots at the hour markers are in generally good condition with some having a little loss in places. The hour and minute hands have lume. The dial is FULLY signed 'MOERIS' and 'Swiss Made'. The dial has a nice sub second hand. The gorgeous 'railway' outer minute track is excellent. The crystal is brand new plexi and as such is in excellent condition. MOVEMENT: This is a beautiful genuine FULLY SIGNED 10 AND A ½ LIGNE manual wind MOERIS 15 jewel movement in excellent condition. This beautiful movement has been TIMED & OILED by my watch maker and is in excellent working order. It has kept very good time as tested over a 24 hour period to within +/- 10 secs per day. It is smooth running and winds and sets well. The crown looks original and is in good condition. BAND: This beautiful watch has a black genuine leather band fitted which is nearly new and has bee worn once for timekeeping check by me. It has not been worn apart from that. The band and watch measure 9 inches in total length, so I would estimate that the watch will fit up to an 81/2 inch wrist comfortably.
