Description: Antique Vintage c1910 Wool Walking Suit This is a bit of a mystery piece… This beautiful suit has a jacket with amazing details on the front and back. All original buttons. A peplum waist on the jacket, with two small pockets at front. The back of the jacket is belted. Sleeve cuffs are cut on a diagonal which adds a-lot of interest. The jacket is lined in a beautiful silk print. The lining was removed from the inside of the sleeves, and there is a small amount of lining coming unattached at the back of the neck. (Could be easily stitched down) There is a moth nibble on the back of the jacket in the middle. The skirt is more of a mystery, fabric was added to the waist at some point, and another 3.5” panel was added on the left side of skirt. Three original snap closure down the side. There are two faux pockets on the front of the skirt. The skirt appears to have been made larger, probably for maternity needs. I believe it could easily be sized back down by a seamstress if desired. This may or may not be the original skirt to the set. Set is clean and read for wear! Great for collector or reenactment.
