It is dated 1949 and we believe that it was awarded to the champion of an Austin, Texas, rodeo in that year. We have no other details about the buckle…..…maybe some of you from that area might know which rodeos were active during that era. It’s a great looking buckle that will be a super nice addition to a collection or to wear everyday. The dimensions are 4” x 3”, fits belts up to 1 1/2” wide and weighs just under 4 ounces. We would note that it has a replacement clasp, but the job was well done, and it works perfectly.
