Description: Fabulous antique Earlywarm wool blanket ~ The label is intact and reads in English "Weave Truth With Trust, The Blanket Weavers Seal Earlywarm All Wool Witney Blankets Made in England by Early's of Witney” ~According to 'The Collector's Guide to Point Blankets of the Hudson's Bay and other companies trading in North America" by Harold Tichenor, Earlywarm's label started using REGD in 1930, so this label would be have been used before then. ~ The wool is a thick and soft weave ~ Wool is one of he best natural insulating fibers on the planet. It is able to absorb 1/3 of its weight in moisture but still keep your body warm and dry. ~ Wool is also naturally flame resistant and non-allergic. ~This well made blanket will help keep your cool in the summer and toasty warm in the winter. ~This blanket is in preowned - antique condition with flaws. My husband and I spotted these "flaws" when we were measuring and photographing it. Please keep in mind that we may have missed something. - Light moth biting - There are a few light coloured spots, that are only not visible ou of natural light. I have tried to capture in photos. - It is an antique used blanket and is in good shape, especially considering its age. - It has been hand washed and hung to dry but it may need a cleaning as it has been stored and may have picked up some lint, in my "to list" blanket pile. - No musty odours - My home is smoke free but pet friendly. - Photos are taken on my Queen size bed - It is a very nice medium weight wool ~ Colour is a very faint /light peach colour~ Campbell's soup can is to give you a better idea of the true colour and it is NOT included in the auction (-8 ~ Would be sure to keep you cozy warm. ~ Measures approximately 84" by 70" ...
