Description: This is a genuine antique women's bodice that is in excellent condition - just needs to be finished. The black rayon fabric has a brown "silky" cotton lining and white floral lace trim. The collar and cuffs have black velvet trim. The buttons are black and multifaceted. The lace and velvet trims were "whip-stitched" but not yet nicely hemmed. There are two button holes that have torn through. It is in amazing condition for its age (which makes me wonder if this could be a modern reproduction?). But it was purchased from an estate sale with five generations of antiques to share. There is an attached inner "corset" with hook closure, but no "stays."
