Antique/Vintage Tonk Chicago New York Solid Wood Adjustable Regency Piano Stool

Description: This is a beautiful antique or vintage carved wood adjustable regency style piano stool made by Tonk & Co. of Chicago and New York. It likely dates too the late 19th or early 20th century, and to our eyes, the grain of the wood has the appearance of mahogany, or perhaps walnut. It is supported by five fluted columns, and the cast iron mount under the seat reads, "Tonk Chicago & New York". The seat is adjustable from 19" to 23 5/8" in height, and it measures approx. 14 1/2" in diameter. The base measures 16 3/4" across, along the axis of the feet in both directions. Its overall condition is quite good, as shown. Age-appropriate signs of wear are present, and there a little play among some of its parts, but we didn't notice any major issues during our inspection.
