Stimson took scores of photographs that were featured in the 1892 publication, Appleton, Wisconsin, Illustrated. This photo is dated 1880 and was included in the publication, identified as the Appleton Chair Company. Writing on the front says this is the new site of the Riverside Paper Company. The photo has a white substance on it in the upper-left quarter (possibly white paint). Otherwise, it's in very nice condition. The board has wear to the corners and edges, overall discoloration, and stains.
