He also created “Balloonheads” and “The Artist” for Penthouse and Omni magazines. A member of the Berndt Toast Gang, Cumings was remembered as a “quiet genius” and a beloved friend. He is survived by his wife Alda, their sons, and grandchildren. Cumings left a lasting legacy in both children’s literature and adult humor.
